L134 Leopard Frog Pleco (Peckoltia compta)
L134 Leopard Frog Plecos are highly sought-after dwarf plecos known for their striking yellow-to-cream bodies covered in bold black stripes and spots. Their compact size, beautiful patterning, and generally peaceful temperament make them an excellent choice for planted community aquariums and dedicated pleco setups.
L134s are generally peaceful but can become territorial with other bottom-dwelling fish, especially other plecos competing for caves. Providing plenty of caves, driftwood, and separate hiding areas helps minimize territorial behavior.

Feed a varied diet of quality sinking pellets and wafers supplemented with frozen or live foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, and mysis shrimp. Vegetable-based foods can also be offered as part of a balanced diet. L134s may graze on surfaces but should not be purchased primarily for algae control.
Provide clean, warm, well-oxygenated water with good filtration and regular water changes. Caves are particularly important, along with driftwood, rockwork, and shaded areas where the fish can retreat during the day.
L134s can be kept with many peaceful community species that tolerate warmer water. When keeping multiple plecos, provide at least one appropriately sized cave per fish, preferably with extras, to reduce competition.
Please note: L134s are cave spawners. Mature males typically claim tight-fitting caves and guard the eggs and developing fry after spawning.
