Boesemani Rainbowfish “Rosario La Corte” (Melanotaenia boesemani) Juvenile

The Rosario La Corte Boesemani Rainbowfish is a vibrant, selectively bred line known for its intense coloration and strong body shape.

These fish are a rare find and would love to continue to see them available in the hobby. The fish you will purchase is still a juvenile so colors may be just starting to come out. Note: Unsexed may not be presenting colors. 

Mature males develop the classic Boesemani split coloration, with a deep blue or purple front half transitioning into brilliant orange or yellow across the rear of the body. Females are typically more subdued but still display attractive silver, gold, and blue tones.

These active, peaceful schooling fish are best kept in groups of six or more in a spacious aquarium with open swimming areas. Their colors become more intense as they mature, especially when maintained on a varied, high-quality diet.
