Chilatherina fasciata “Clearwater Creek”
Chilatherina fasciata “Clearwater Creek” is a beautiful locality form of the Barred Rainbowfish from New Guinea. Males develop striking metallic coloration with warm gold, bronze, blue-green, and red tones, while females are generally more subdued. Their color intensifies significantly during displaying and courtship.
These are active, social rainbowfish that do best in groups of 6 or more. Keeping multiple males and females encourages natural schooling, displaying, and breeding behavior.

Clearwater Creek Barred Rainbowfish are compatible with other similarly sized peaceful community fish, including other rainbowfish, larger tetras, peaceful barbs, Corydoras, and appropriate plecos.
Please note: Juveniles can appear relatively plain and develop much stronger coloration as they mature. Rainbowfish are also excellent jumpers, so a secure lid is strongly recommended.
