Pinwheel Melon Sword (Echinodorus osiris)

Pinwheel Melon Sword is an eye-catching rosette aquarium plant with elongated leaves that emerge in bronze, reddish-brown, and olive tones before maturing toward green. Its leaves grow in a layered, slightly twisting pattern that gives the plant its distinctive “pinwheel” appearance.

This sword plant works well as a midground or background focal point and grows best with moderate lighting and regular root fertilization. A nutrient-rich substrate or root tabs will encourage fuller growth and stronger coloration. Some older leaves may melt after planting while the plant adjusts and produces new submerged growth.
