DOA Policy – Live Arrival Guarantee
Moe’s Aquatics ensures that your aquatic animal will arrive in good condition, considering expected travel stress when the animal arrives within the expected shipping timeframe. If an animal does not make the trip, we will offer a refund or replacement (when available) of the aquatic animal (does not include shipping expense, unless all animals arrive DOA). Please refer to our DOA claims for detailed instructions on how to file a claim.
Exclusion is if purchaser requests shipping speed that is slower than what Moe's Aquatics recommends due to weather conditions or other factors. In this case, purchaser accepts full responsibility for the condition of arrival of the aquatic animal(s).
DOA Claims:
Provide multiple clear photos from different angles of the deceased animal(s) (top, bottom, side) still in the bag as specified in the policy. In the case of snails, images can be of the animal outside of the bag but must show that the snail has expired (example is hanging out of its shell). If the snail trap door is closed, the snail may not have passed away, however communicate with Moe's Aquatics the concern of the snail's health. Shipping costs will be covered by seller for replacement animals.
In the case of Shrimp and Fish, it is your responsibility to quarantine the animal properly before introducing it to your tanks. Moe's will not be responsible for disease or parasites that are noted beyond the 2-hour delivery timeframe. Discounted replacements may be provided if the buyer is in communication with Moe's Aquatics noting concerns. Shipping will be paid by the buyer.

Shipping Policy
Shipments are sent out on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday of the week to ensure arrival by Friday. If you are unable to accept the shipment on the expected arrival date notify Moe's Aquatics so that shipment can be arranged for a date that will work for you. Moe's Aquatics is not responsible for packages that you are not present to receive.
As stated in the DOA policy, Moe’s Aquatics will ensure that your aquatic animal will arrive in good condition, considering travel stress. If, however, there is a delay in arrival of the shipment due to issues with the shipping carrier (not due to actions by Moe's Aquatics), Moe's is unable to refund shipping costs. Moe's will research the status of the package with the carrier, provide updates to you, as well as inform you if Moe's Aquatics will consider a partial or full refund for the aquatic animal.
In the case of animals arriving beyond the expected shipping time and arriving deceased, Moe's Aquatics may elect to replace the deceased animals up to a value of $100. Purchaser will be responsible for shipping expenses of replacement animal.
Shipping Policy - Sudden Weather
Moe's Aquatics will offer multiple shipping options which will ensure live arrival of your aquatic animal.
* If the temperatures are below 50 degreea (tropical) or 40 degrees for lows at the shipping and arrival city, a heat pack will be provided at no additional cost.
* If temperatures are above 80 degrees for highs at the shipping and arrival city, a cold pack will be provided at no additional cost.
You may request a heat or cold pack to be included outside of these parameters, however when requested by purchaser, Moe's Aquatics will not be responsible for any loss or damage due to overheating or overcooling of the animal.
As the purchaser it is your responsibility to inform Moe's Aquatics of any abnormal weather events in your area - such as hurricanes, blizzards, etc.. Moe's Aquatics will not be responsible for missing, delayed, or damaged shipments due to inclement weather if not notified.
